A WhatsApp voice note, without the one-minute ceiling
WhatsApp is where families, football groups, and work chats already live. The native voice note is handy until it is not: it compresses hard, it is awkward to replay outside the thread, and long audio never feels first-class. Manda Áudio (Manda Áudio, also known as Manda Audio or Send Audio WhatsApp) is a public page for the file itself. You upload once, get a clean URL, and that URL is what you send.
There is no signup wall and no file size limit. That matters for church recordings, language homework, stand-up bits, and the four-minute voice memo you would otherwise split into six notes. Recipients tap the link, hit play in the browser, and can bookmark the page. Plays feed a public ranking of the most played audios — useful when a joke is good enough to leave the original group.
Formats are the ones phones already export: MP3, WAV, OGG, M4A and WebM. Need the Portuguese or Spanish walkthrough? Open Português (Brasil), Português (Portugal), or Español, or read the dedicated guide to sending audio on WhatsApp with a link.
Questions
- Is Manda Áudio really free?
- Yes. Uploading, hosting the playback page, and sharing the link cost nothing. There is no account, no trial, and no paywall on the audio page.
- Do I need to create an account?
- No signup and no login. Add a title, pick a file, and you get a permanent public page you can paste into WhatsApp.
- Is there a file size limit?
- No size cap on purpose. WhatsApp voice notes compress quickly and cut long messages; a link on Manda Áudio keeps the original file so long interviews, songs, and class recordings still play.
- Which formats can I upload?
- MP3, WAV, OGG, M4A and WebM. If a browser cannot play the codec, the server remuxes or transcodes to a playable M4A when possible.
- How does the ranking work?
- Every play on an audio page counts as one point. The home ranking lists the most played clips so funny voice memes and useful messages can travel beyond a single group.
- Will WhatsApp preview the audio?
- WhatsApp shows a link preview with the title. Recipients open the page, hit play, and can share the same URL again without downloading an attachment first.
